Business case II – Initial situation
The group of team leaders in a medium-sized company should receive a basic leadership training. The managers are new and have not received any training so far. They are heavily involved in operative work and therefore find it difficult to take days out of the business. The next higher management level also knows that training is necessary but only wants to release the team leaders for 0.5 days at a time for a staff development measure.
The HR management has chosen the Coverdale course “Successful Collaboration”. We have tailored the course specifically to the needs of team leaders.
We have agreed on the following program:
01
Virtual Kick-Off
In a 2-hour online meeting, we presented the programme, including the schedule and the requirements per programme section. Then we divided the twelf participants into groups of three who were to stay together as peer groups throughout the programme and support each other’s learning.
02
E-Learning I
The peer groups work together on the first theory block including small exercises.
03
Coaching Session I
Within a two-hour coaching session, the participants of two groups work together on an example. Facilitated by the coach, they conduct a review, reflect on the insights gained from this exercise, and conclude the training together.
04
E-Learning II
The peer groups work together on the second theory block including small exercises.
